🗓️ Crucial Next Steps: The Sliding Mechanism
To minimize unfilled seats caused by non-joining candidates, SSC has implemented a Sliding Mechanism to reallocate unutilized vacancies. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the physical sliding process to remain eligible for the final result.
⚠️ Important: Physical attendance at the designated Regional Office cities for the sliding process is mandatory. Missing this step will result in forfeiture of candidature.
Key Schedule:
Slot Booking (Website)
Log in at ssc.gov.in between August 4, 2026 and August 5, 2026, to choose your venue, date, and time slot.
Physical Sliding Process
Conducted at designated Regional Office venues from August 11, 2026 to August 12, 2026.
⚖️ Resolution of Tie Cases
In instances where candidates obtained identical total aggregate marks in the Computer Based Examination (CBE), ties were broken using the following hierarchical order:
- Higher marks in Part-III (English Language & Comprehension)
- Higher marks in Part-II (General Awareness)
